This 48KHz/24bit sample pack contains 9 samples of a PDP Birch 14x5 snare drum and is intended for use with software like Drumagog or Sound Replacer. The samples are at different velocities from 1 to 9. The drum was recorded with two close mics, a Josephson E22 and a Shure SM57 through NPNG and Neve preamps respectively, as well at stereo overheads (two Lawson FET47s through NPNG), stereo room mics (two Neumann TLM103s through Millennia Media) and a whole bunch of miscellaneous mics down the corridors with the live room door open. These were combined into stereo samples. The source was recorded into Pro Tools through Frontier Design Group and Digidesign converters. Final processing and editing was carried out in Cool Edit Pro.
