(VERY) Amateur field recordist using a $100 Church Audio mic/preamp set and an iRiver H320. I record nature when the opportunity arises and the wind isn't too high - usually near my wilderness home in Lake Hughes, CA.

Professionals will note that a digital device like this is not optimal for nature recordings, but it's a good compromise for someone without a lot of free time!
